Welcome to the Princess of Wales, Blackheath. If you've never been to Blackheath, you really should! It's a lovely little village within 15 minutes of Central London, like an urban oasis. And and at the top of the hill, right on the heath, you'll find the Princess, quite possible the most ideally located pub in the country. Or maybe even the world!
The Princess of Wales also has a long conection with Blackheath Rugby Club (the oldest in the world, formed in 1858). When the first ever international was played between England & Wales on the heath, the players used the pub as a changing room. We have a snug room decorated with rugby memorabilia and even our own blue plaque commemorating our history.
Come join us on Tuesday nights for our weekly quiz, where Dave The Quiz Master will try his best to confound you! or if a bottle of vino is more your thing, Wednesday's are our Wines of the World night, when you can get bottles of wine from £7.95, so there's no real reason NOT to come down!

Sundays
Sundays are special for us. We serve four different freshly prepared roasts and you can wash it down with a Bloody Mary to soothe that fuzzy head! Good night last night was it?! And you know what the best thing is? You don't have to do any clearing up!

Hire areas within the pub to hold a special occasion or just to sit back and have a meal- ask bar staff or ring for details. Buffet options available.
Quiz
Join our quizmaster Dave and show off your intellectual ability at our good old fashioned Tuesday night quiz. No nonsense, just questions! Starts at 8pm. Arrive early to get a table, it gets pretty busy!
Ales
We now have 5 ales on at any one time, London Pride, Sharp's Doombar, a bespoke Adnams ale which changes monthly, and 2 guests from brewers such as Caledonian, Brains and Ryedale.

Train
Blackheath is the closest station to the pub situated to the village, or if you fancy a strole with a view get off at Greenwich station and walk up the hill through Greenwich Park.
Bus
A number of busses pass through the village past the pub so jump on one of the following....
89, 108 runs between Lewisham and North Greenwich station, 54, 202, 380 and the 386 from Greenwich town centre.
Car
From the A2 come off at Sun in the Sands roundabout (sign posted Blackheath) free parking available at rear.
